Harmony Canada extra steps

Install for Harmony Queen and King

In Canada we have a few extra assembly steps we had to take for our local customers.

You will need to insert the foam modules into the fabric cover. We suggest laying out the fabric cover like a mattress so you understand the layout.
The 2 yellow, slightly smaller modules are the memory foam ones. These go at the head and torso of the bed. Memory foam facing up where you would sleep. The larger darker module goes at the foot of the mattress and is also the seat.

Stuff cushions and bolster pillows into the slip covers.

Attach some metal hardware to the side of the frame. (this connects to the arms)

Put the slip cover on the foot kick plate, and make the holes in the fabric so it can connect. We provide a heat iron to quickly singe this fabric and it should only take a few minutes for this step. You could also just cut this with scissors but the singe is cleaner and faster. Don’t worry this board is hidden to view so if you make a large hole it does not matter. You will attach this with 6 bolts and 6 washers:

Here is the video for the extra steps: The largest foam module (~28.5 inches) goes into the seat section which is also where your feet go when sleeping. The next largest module (~26 inches) goes in the middle section, and the smallest module (~23 inches) got to the head/back rest part of the mattress. Please carefully put these pieces in, making sure to check the sizes and tightening the fabric before gap before zipping it closed, so there is not excess strain on the zipper.

Here is a copy of the digital manual.
Please see the video below for a step by step installation.

Please note on the Harmony 2021 and above models these now use arms that are not ‘fixed’ so you can remove the arms to feel less enclosed and it is easier for elderly people to get out sideways (rather than sitting up). You however can fix the sofa arm to the bed if you choose to.

There are 2 open holes on the metal work. The lower hole lines up with on the sofa arm and the connection is wood. So if a screw was put through this area directly into the side arm this would lock it in place. You can use a 1 inch screw ( don’t go over 2 inches) and a washer to accomplish this.

View the Harmony User guide here.

Please note the Harmony has folding legs in the back. These lock when in place. To unlock simply click the metal.
